“ I've gotta say that I'm pretty pleased I used my trusty Yelp app to find this place, in fact it's been on my radar for a while thanks to reading some great reviews from fellow Yelpers - but as I arrived in Rusholme and whacked out my app, it was handy to stand outside and have another good read of reviews which cemented my decision to go in! Basically this place does amazing Middle Eastern/Lebanese cuisine and on this occasion with it being Friday lunch time, I popped in just as they were doing their all you can eat buffet. For £11.95 I tucked into some amazing kofta, breads, dips, salad, wings - wow, so much great food just check out my snaps - plus there was lovely cake and pudding included to follow. The food was wonderful and tasty - really nice! To round off I bought an Arabic cardamom tea which was fantastic - really nice and complimented the meal well. It was nice to go somewhere not on my normal radar, I'll be back! ”

“ There were seven of us, hungry on a Saturday afternoon, on the fringes of the curry mile and wondering where to eat. Up until Saturday, Punjab was the only place I would go to, in the Curry Mile. But, as fate would have it, Punjab was closed, getting ready for Val's day. So, after very little deliberation we headed over to Beirut, two vegetarians in tow. The service was quick and excellent throughout. We were given a portion of complimentary bread with a chilli chutney and olives, while we waited to order. I got an Arabian shawarma with rice and a cucumber and yogurt sauce (read cucumber raita). When the mains started arriving, we were given more free bread with more chilli chutney and olives. The bread was crunchy on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside and very, very tasteful and flavoursome. We were given a complimentary portion of veggie tagine as we had two vegetarians on board. My wife got a falafel wrap and did a good job of it and for once I didn't have to help her, cos I was fighting a battle of my own. My shawarma was a very generous portion with a lot of meat, a mountain of rice and a mini-garden for a salad. The cucumber raita was a generous helping too. I managed to narrowly win this battle with my food, although it was more of a love affair for me as I thoroughly enjoyed pretty much everything on that plate. We were also offered complimentary baklava but we made the wise choice as we were full to the brim. All this food and the non-alcoholic drinks we ordered cost around £90, which came to around £14 per person including tips. I say that's not bad at all, especially when the food is very good with service to match! When you check in with your yelp app, the 20% student discount thing flashes, but the discount is not valid on a weekend. I would love to go back here once again, but not during the busy periods, although I suggest you ring them and book in advance (if that's possible). As with everywhere else, I sincerely hope they continue their excellent standards of food preparation, presentation and service. ”

“ This was my second time here and the staff are extremely nice, the portions are massive and the food is very good. We were brought some piping hot bread with a chilli and olives as a complimentary starter. Every dish our group tried was great which included a garlic chicken grill with a mountain of rice, moussaka, veggie tagine, tabouleh, and wrapped vine leaves. I had the chicken grill which was at least half a chicken butterflied then grilled with spices and garlic served with hummus, rice, onions and tomatoes. The chicken was cooked perfectly being just about charred on the outside but lovely and tender. We had a few students with us and on Yelp it advertised that they offered a student discount. We asked about this when we went to pay and they informed us that this deal was only midweek, which is fine, but they offered us free deserts in place of the discount which we thanked them for but declined because we couldn't have eaten another bite without bursting. Well worth a visit if you are down on the Curry Mile. ”

“ Yummiest Proper Shawarma in town! Very warm welcome And an even Warmer service. My hubby & I ordered the hummus shawarma, falafel and the mix grill with a jug of Mint lemonade, and later on a chicken shawarma wrap fr my son. Hummus shawarma came with the yummiest softest bread ever. Very tasty & filling. The best falafel (best taste if eaten hot) I ever had with the most delicious Tahini sauce. Mix grill was ok fr us. It was tasty but Not going to order again as nothing unique abt it. Definitely going to try the Arabic shawarma meal or just the chicken shawarma wrap I ordered fr son next time! The shawarma wrap in itself is a full meal! Mint lemonade was just perfect! Definitely recommended to those who love to try different taste pallets. 5 stars from me! ”
